Enjoy the convenience of recycling a wide variety of pet food, treat, and litter packaging at dedicated collection bins located inside PetSmart™. This program is brought to you by PetSmart™ and their brand sponsors, Tiki Cat®, Hills®, Authority®, ROYAL CANIN®, Canidae®, and Simply Nourish®. Use the interactive map below to search for locations near you.
The program is currently available in stores across Arizona and New Jersey. We hope to add more locations soon, so please keep checking back. When recycling in-store, look for this specially-designed box at your local participating PetSmart™. Just drop off your empty bags and go! We’ll take it from there.
How it works
We’ve made getting started with the PetSmart™ Pet Food & Treat Bags Free Recycling Program easy! TerraCycle and PetSmart™ and their brand sponsors, Tiki Cat®, Hills®, Authority®, ROYAL CANIN®, Canidae®, and Simply Nourish®, have partnered to create a FREE recycling program for all brands of pet food, treat, and litter products and packaging.

No, this program accepts empty pet food, treat, and litter bags from all brands.
No, you do not need to clean the products and packaging before dropping them off in-store for recycling through TerraCycle. However, please remove as much of the remaining product as possible and make sure your items are dry before you drop them off.
No, PetSmart™ and their brand sponsors, Tiki Cat®, Hills®, Authority®, ROYAL CANIN®, Canidae®, and Simply Nourish®, have sponsored this recycling program, so it is free for you to participate!
