How it works
All Kiehl's products are accepted for recycling and can be dropped off in the in-store collection bin.

All empty Kiehl's products, including plastic, glass and sachets.
The programme does not accept:
- Other brands of empty beauty packaging
- Packaging still containing product
- Aerosols
Outer cardboard packaging can be recycled with your local council, so please don’t include this in your shipment to TerraCycle.
Keihl's sponsors this national recycling programme making it free for you to participate.
We encourage you to ship when your box is full of empty Kiehl's packaging to minimise the footprint of this programme. New Zealand Post will not accept dripping packages, so please make sure your items are dry.
No, you do not need to clean the packaging before dropping it off for recycling, but please remove as much of the remaining product as possible before dropping it off in store. New Zealand Post will not accept dripping items, so please make sure your items are dry.
Rewards
As a thank-you, when customers return their Kiehl's empties in-store, they will receive some complimentary gifts!
For every full size product returned customers will recieve a stamp on their card, when they reach 3, 6 or 10 stamps they will be rewarded with a complimentary gift.
3 stamps = 2 deluxe samples of their choice
6 stamps = 2 deluxe samples of their choice
10 stamps = 2 deluxe samples of their choice and a bonus reward.

Once collected, the Kiehl's packaging is sorted, cleaned and melted into pellets that can be remoulded to make new recycled products.
