How it works
We’ve made getting started with the Ploom Device Free Recycling Programme easy! Simply download a free shipping label to ship your Ploom X and Ploom X Advanced devices to TerraCycle, and we’ll recycle them.
Warning: Ploom X and Ploom X Advanced devices contain a lithium battery, which is considered hazardous material. To comply with international regulations, all shipments for this programme must include a "UN3481" label to inform UPS about the type of goods they are transporting. TerraCycle will provide you with this specific label.
Collect
Create a TerraCycle account and join this programme. Then reuse any box you have to start collecting your Ploom X and Ploom X Advanced devices.
Download to scan or print
When your box is full, sign in to your TerraCycle account to download and print a prepaid shipping label (no scanning available for this programme).
Send
Seal the box, affix the prepaid shipping label, and send it to us to be recycled.

However, we do not accept the following waste:

Yes, this national recycling programme is brand-specific, which means you can only recycle heated tobacco devices of this particular brand.
Ploom has sponsored this national recycling programme, so there is no direct cost to you.
We encourage you to ship when your box is full of Ploom X and Ploom X Advanced devices to minimise the transportation carbon footprint for this programme. You can send your shipments via UPS (printer required). Wet/dripping packages will not be accepted, so please make sure they are dry.
When you are ready to send a parcel, please follow these steps:

Request a free UPS label from your account. The "UN3481" required label will be automatically included at the bottom of the PDF.

Download your 2-in-1 label and print it out from your email.

Place your waste in a sturdy cardboard box that is no bigger than 60x60x50 cm and a maximum weight of 20 kg.

Attach your label securely to your parcel, and ensure it is easy to read.

Drop off your parcel at your closest UPS drop-off point or arrange a free pick-up for your parcel via UPS by either booking online or calling 03457 877 877.
When you request a free UPS label from your account, the "UN3481" required label will be automatically included at the bottom of the PDF.
