Nespresso Aluminum Capsule Recycling Program

We welcome anyone from almost any organization to join our recycling efforts! However, our program is not designed to accommodate recycling centers. To sign up, you will need to provide a contact person to oversee the program at your location, a valid email address, and a valid mailing address. 

There is no limit to the amount of Nespresso capsules you can send in.

No, shipping is covered by Nespresso. Your Nespresso Capsule Recycling Program collections will be sent back to TerraCycle to be recycled with one of our recycling partners to make new and innovative products.

No. Each individual or organization can only have one Nespresso Capsule Recycling Program account. Any duplicate accounts will be canceled to make room for other participants.

We accept Nespresso capsules only. (Nespresso Professional capsules are not included in this program.)

Nespresso does not participate in the points program at this time. However, you will see your total capsules collected once you log into your account.

Please note in order to reduce waste, the Nespresso Aluminum Capsule Recycling Program no longer provides black recycling bags to collect Nespresso aluminum capsules in. You can reuse any box you have to ship capsules. If there is excessive moisture in the capsules, please reuse any plastic bag to line the box before shipping.

Other ways to recycle

For those outside of British Columbia and Quebec, or for those looking for other ways to recycle, you can participate in the red bag program that is run by Nespresso. 

There is also an option to recycle your Nespresso capsules in-store at a local boutique. Please see the map in the "Find a public drop-off point" tab above to find a location near you.
