Participating in this program is easy and FREE! See answers to frequently-asked questions.
All brands of empty blister and medication packs can be recycled through this program.
This program does not accept:
Blister packs still containing tablets or capsules
Outer cardboard packaging (recycle via kerbside council collections)
Plastic pill organisers
Please ensure your blister and medication packs are completely empty and dry before dropping them off at your local pharmacy or medical clinic
Territory Pharmacy sponsors this national recycling program making it free for you to participate.
Once collected, the blister and mediation packs are cleaned and separated by material type. The fibres and plastics are recycled into raw formats that manufacturers use to make new products. Learn more about our recycling processes here.
