Drop off your recycling at a location near you
Bring your recycling to a participating public drop-off point near you. It's free, and you won't need a TerraCycle account or shipping label.
How to become a public drop-off point
Simply request to join this program, and once you are confirmed, your location will show up on the public drop-off point map. Set up boxes that community members can fill with their rubbish to be recycled, and send full boxes to TerraCycle at no cost to you.

You choose which TerraCycle free recycling programs your public drop-off point will participate in. Collectors can drop off only the rubbish accepted in those TerraCycle programs.
Olay sponsors this national recycling program making it free for you to participate.
Public spaces that have good traffic flow and are easily accessible are excellent public drop-off point. Stores, community centres, places of worship, and libraries are great options.
It’s quite simple to set up and manage a public drop-off point, and you can recruit a group of friends to help!
Set Up:
- Choose a location and receive permission if needed.
- Update a new or existing TerraCycle account profile with details about your public drop-off point.
- Request to join the programs you would like to participate in.
- Once you’ve been approved for the programs you requested, set up your public drop-off point location.
Manage:
- Oversee the location (check it is being used properly, that rubbish is being shipped when collection boxes are filled).
- When boxes are filled, seal them, download and affix the prepaid labels, and drop off the boxes at an Australia Post.
- Continue to join programs of your choosing.
Promote: Spread awareness about your drop-off point (as you see fit) to encourage participation.
Allocate: As you accumulate TerraCycle recycling rewards, choose which charities will receive donations from your points.
Earn Recycling Rewards
1. Recycle
Sign up for the Olay Free Recycling Program and begin recycling.
2. Earn Rewards
Send in your recycling to earn reward points. Shipments earn $1 in TerraCycle points per kilogram of rubbish recycled. To earn reward points, your shipment must weigh at least 1kg.
3. Redeem Rewards
TerraCycle points can be redeemed for a donation of $1.00 per 100 points to the charitable organisation or school of your choice.

Once collected, the skin care product packaging is cleaned and separated by material type. The fibres and plastics are recycled into raw formats that manufacturers use to make new products.
