Zero Waste Box™ User Guide

A Zero Waste Box™ is a complete and convenient solution to store, ship, and recycle a particular type of waste that isn’t typically recycled through local councils or traditional recycling facilities.

Assemble the box

  1. The box is delivered flat packed. Please lay it on a flat surface and unfold it.
  2. Fold the side flaps inward.
  3. Fold the box lid over.
  4. Push the small closure flap inwards to secure your Zero Waste Box.
  5. Push the flaps on top of the lid inwards to create an opening.
  6. Apply pressure on all sides so that the box is able to stand freely.

Start collecting

Once assembled, you can place the Zero Waste Box anywhere – at home, in an office, in-store, at an event and more. It’s now ready for you to dispose of the accepted waste into the box. You will find a list of the accepted and unaccepted waste items on your Zero Waste Box

Return the box

When full, you can book in a pickup with Courier Post. To arrange a pick up visit Courier Post and fill out the form using the tracking number on the pre-paid shipping label on the back of your box. For assistance please call Courier Post on 0800 268 743 or visit their website. Please ensure prior to shipping your box is not over full and bursting at the joints or overweight otherwise additional cost will apply.

Please note the maximum box weight is 25 KG, to meet NZ Post shipping requirements.

Recycle

Once collected, your products and packaging are sorted and separated by material composition. The separated items are then cleaned, shredded, and made into new recycled products such as outdoor furniture and decking, playgrounds, benches, or watering cans.
