It’s easy (and free!), and you could make a big difference. Sending larger shipments of waste at once is better for the planet, plus you’ll get rewarded with all the TerraCycle points for the waste you send in for recycling.
There are two simple options for starting a public drop-off point: listed or unlisted. One difference between the options is whether or not your location will be listed on TerraCycle’s public drop-off map. The other difference is the programs you can join.
Listed: You can join our official drop-off point free recycling programs and have your location listed on our public map.
Unlisted: You can join any of our dozens of free recycling programs as a regular collector. You won’t be listed on our public map (so you’ll need to decide how you’d like to collect recycling and spread the word on your own).
Anyone can start a TerraCycle public drop-off point, from individuals to schools to businesses to any type of community group. It’s easy to start and manage a TerraCycle drop-off point, but you can make it even easier by sharing the work. Plus, you can earn money for your school, charity, or nonprofit group through your recycling efforts. Learn more about ways to recycle with TerraCycle for your community.
You’ll earn TerraCycle points for the hard-to-recycle trash you send in for recycling from your public drop-off point. These points will automatically be added to your TerraCycle account for eligible shipments. Redeem your points as a cash donation to the school, charity, or nonprofit of your choice (even your own community organization, religious group, school, etc!).
