Your gift of 1,500 points will contribute to a scholarship given to one of ten to fifteen dynamic young African professionals. Engineers Without Boarders will select from among distinguished young professionals to participate in a six-month program based on their outstanding contributions to their home countries, their exceptional communication skills, and their high potential as young managers. They receive coaching support in their home country and then travel to Canada for an intensive four-week experience that combines EWB National Conference, specifically tailored training programs, and two work placements. Delegates return home with new skills, ideas, contacts, motivation, and required means to create positive social and environmental change within their own organizations and communities in Africa.
Engineers Without Borders Canada (EWB) is one of Canada’s most respected development organizations; they apply the rigorous problem solving approach of engineers, with a focus on human development, to systemic global challenges to accelerate rural African development.
