Thanks to our dedicated network recycling hard-to-recycle trash with us, there are TerraCycle drop-off points throughout the nation to help you recycle more. Just find a location near you, drop off the accepted waste, and the volunteer administrator will send it to TerraCycle for recycling.

Please note that volunteer administrators (not TerraCycle) manage drop-off points. The administrators choose the location, hours, and accepted waste streams. Please contact the administrator if you have questions about or suggestions for a specific drop-off location.

Start your own public drop-off point

Can’t find a TerraCycle drop-off point near you? Your community needs you! Volunteer administrators are what make TerraCycle drop-off points possible. It’s easy and free to start your own. Plus you’ll get all the TerraCycle Recycling Rewards for the trash you send in, which you can redeem as a cash donation to the school, charity, or nonprofit of your choice.

TerraCycle’s recycling process

TerraCycle’s R&D department analyzes materials to determine the right way to process them into something new. When a waste shipment arrives at one of our Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs), we scan it to record the shipment information, date, weight, and material it contains. Once inspected and sorted by category, the various material types are sent to third-party partners to recycle all accepted waste. Your trash becomes new products like outdoor furniture, plastic pellets, tubing for construction applications, playground surface covers, and more! Learn more about TerraCycle’s recycling process.
