How it works
TerraCycle Zero Waste Boxes allow you to recycle almost every type of waste. Simply follow the steps below to recycle your waste with us and make a positive impact on our planet.
What happens to the waste?
The collected waste is usually separated into Natural cork and Synthetic cork. The natural cork is usually shredded into small pieces and used as fillers in other plastic materials. The synthetic cork is usually shredded, melted and pelletized; to be used injection molding, compression molding or extrusion molding applications.
Accepted waste
Natural or synthetic corks.
Please do NOT...
include bottles or bottle caps. We will also not accept household hazardous waste such as lithium ion batteries, pressurized canisters, pesticides, paint or medical sharps.
Best practices for recycling
In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure all excess product has been removed.
