How it works
TerraCycle Zero Waste Boxes allow you to recycle almost every type of waste. Simply follow the steps below to recycle your waste with us and make a positive impact on our planet.
What happens to the waste?
The collected waste is mechanically and/or manually separated into fabrics, metals, fibers, and plastics. Fabrics are resued, upcycled or recycled as appropriate. Metals are melted so they may be recycled. The fibers (such as paper or wood based products) are recycled or composted. The plastics undergo extrusion and pelletization to be molded into new recycled plastic products.
Accepted waste
Cleaning accessories including brooms, mops, buckets, swiffers, dust pans, spray bottles, empty detergent bottles, lid tops and dryer sheets.
Please do NOT...
include aerosol cans or solvent/hazardous material such as drain cleaners, oven cleaners, toilet cleaners, disinfectants, degreasers, all purpose cleaners, detergent, bleach and fabric softener. We will also not accept household hazardous waste such as lithium ion batteries, pressurized canisters, pesticides, paint or medical sharps.
