How it works
TerraCycle Zero Waste Boxes allow you to recycle almost every type of waste. Simply follow the steps below to recycle your waste with us and make a positive impact on our planet.
What happens to the waste?
The collected waste is mechanically and/or manually separated into metals and plastics. Metals are smelted for so they may be recycled. The plastics undergo extrusion and pelletization to be molded into new recycled plastic products.
Accepted waste
Automotive small parts including serpentine belts, short shifters, funnels, windshield wiper blades, replacement parts, gaskets, hoses, wheel covers, exhaust systems, brake pads, license plates, covers, and mats. As well as any type of automotive racks including bike racks, ski racks, roof racks, kayak racks, bumper racks, and cargo carriers.
Please do NOT...
include car lithium ion batteries or racks with items still attached. We will also not accept household hazardous waste such as lithium ion batteries, pressurized canisters, pesticides, paint or medical sharps.
Best practices for recycling
In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure all excess product has been removed.
