We’ve made getting started with the Walmart Blue Bag Free Recycling Program easy! Simply download a free shipping label to ship your Walmart reusable blue bags to TerraCycle, and we’ll recycle them. Enrollment limits apply. If the program is full, you will be added to a waitlist.
Collect
Create a TerraCycle account and join this program. Then reuse any box or shipping envelope you have to start collecting your Walmart reusable blue bags.
Print free label
When your box or shipping envelope is full, sign-in to your TerraCycle account to download and print a prepaid shipping label. Shipments must include at least 5 bags.
Ship
Seal your box or shipping envelope, affix the prepaid shipping label, and send it to us to be recycled.

We encourage you to ship when your box is full of Walmart reusable blue bags. UPS will not accept dripping packages, so please make sure your items are dry.
No, you do not need to clean the blue bags before dropping it off.
TerraCycle will sort the bags depending on their condition. Intact bags (including bags that are soiled or stained) are sent to be laundered for reuse. Bags that are damaged (rips, holes, and tears) are recycled.
Laundered bags will be donated to Food Banks Canada for use in their pantries and programs.
Damaged bags are recycled into raw formats that manufacturers use to make new products, such as plastic shipping pallets, outdoor furniture, and more.
